Edward Raymond Neaher (1912-1994) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He joined the court in 1971 after an appointment from Richard Nixon. At the time of appointment, Neaher was the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. He assumed senior status on May 28, 1982, and continued in this position until his death on April 19, 1994.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

Eastern District of New York

Neaher was nominated by Richard Nixon on June 14, 1971, to a seat vacated by Joseph Zavatt; he was confirmed by the Senate on July 22, 1971, and received commission on July 22, 1971. He assumed senior status on May 28, 1982, and continued in this position until his death on April 19, 1994.[1] Neaher was succeeded in this position by Frank Altimari.
