Edward Van Alst

Edward Van Alst is a judge for the Wexford County Probate Court in Michigan. He was appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder (R) on November 27, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Kenneth L. Tacoma. Van Alst had to win election in November 2018 to retain the seat past the end of the appointment.[1]
Biography
Van Alst earned a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, a master's degree from the General Motors Institute of Technology, and a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. His experience includes work as an attorney in private practice and service as the director of the Rotary Club of Cadillac.[1]
