Edwin A. Scales, III
Edwin A. Scales III is a judge of the Florida 3rd District Court of Appeal. He assumed office on October 21, 2013. His current term ends on January 2, 2029.
Scales ran for re-election for judge of the Florida 3rd District Court of Appeal. He won in the retention election on November 8, 2022.
He was appointed to the court by Republican Governor Rick Scott in 2013 to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Angel Cortiñas.[1]
Scales was retained by voters on November 8, 2016 and on November 8, 2022.
Education
Scales received his B.S. in telecommunications from the University of Florida in 1988 and his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1991.[1]
