Not a Democrat. Not a Republican. A New Yorker.

I am the only candidate who grew up in Astoria, Queens. Filmmaker at Showtime, HBO, A24. First in family to attend college. Columbia University graduate. ACTvF Valedictorian. Lead organizer for the NYC March for Medicare for All.

Endorsed by former US presidential candidate Howie Hawkins (Green Party).
Edwin DeJesus is the only Astoria native fighting for the most vulnerable disabled, seniors, veterans, students. NYCHA is not 4 sale. Tuition free CUNY. Healthcare as a human right (it should not be denied under any circumstances).

Rent stabilization for all. Personal data protection. Fight mental health crisis with plant-based medicines. Enforce penalties on illegally modified vehicles. Remove mayoral control of schools. Keep BaconEggN’Cheese at $3.50.
The City Council manages the city's budget, vetoes the Mayor and votes on issues of rezoning.
My parents who grew up in East Harlem. I follow the paths of compassion and love for my brothers and sisters. Corporate greed, hatred/anger and misknowledge are the sources of our society's suffering.
My door is open to any constituents at any time. We will host regular fireside chats with our neighborhood residents.
Fighting to expand our democracy with proportional representation and ranked-choice voting in general elections.
Our working class movement will fight the 2-party duopoly.
Canvassing for a District 22 city council race in Astoria, Queens.
1984 because it predicted our present reality.
Member deference allows a member of the New York City Council to protect their neighborhood from predatory real estate developers. Other candidates want to eliminate member deference and give power to government instead of the People.

Edwin DeJesus is the only candidate for District 22 who will draft legislation to permanently uphold member deference and prevent gentrification. We must provide direct relief to Mom N' Pop shops and extinguish the greed of large corporations.
As a filmmaker, I can help facilitate job growth via Robert De Niro's new production studio (coming soon to 19th Avenue).
Why was the mushroom invited to the party? Because he is a fungi.
