Edwin Nelson
Edwin L. Nelson (1940-2003) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
Nelson was nominated by President George H.W. Bush on September 13, 1989, to a seat vacated by Foy Guin; he was confirmed by the Senate on January 23, 1990, and received commission the next day. He served until his death on May 17, 2003. Nelson was succeeded in this position by Virginia Hopkins.
