Edwin Obras (Democratic Party) is a member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing District 33-Position 1. He assumed office on December 11, 2024. His current term ends on January 12, 2026.
Obras (Democratic Party) is running in a special election to the Washington House of Representatives to represent District 33-Position 1. He is on the ballot in the special general election on November 4, 2025. He advanced from the special primary on August 5, 2025.
The King County Council appointed Obras to the Washington House of Representatives District 33-Position 1 on December 11, 2024, to replace Tina Orwall.
Biography
Obras earned a B.A. in American Ethnic Studies from the University of Washington, and a masters in public administration from Northeastern University.[1]
From 2008 to 2024, Obras served in the Human Services Department for the City of Seattle in roles including deputy division director, budget and policy director, and contracts manager. He has also served as board president of the Filipino Community of Seattle.[2]
