Edwin Thomas (1872-1952) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He joined the court in 1913 after an appointment from Woodrow Wilson. At the time of appointment, he was the Executive Secretary to the Governor of Connecticut. He resigned on April 12, 1939. He passed away on January 21, 1952.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

District of Connecticut

Thomas was nominated by President Woodrow Wilson on October 16, 1913 to fill the seat vacated by James Platt. He was confirmed by the Senate on November 17, 1913, and received commission that same day. He resigned on April 12, 1939.[1] Thomas was succeeded in this position by John Joseph Smith.
