Eight new members appointed to the Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection

Minnesota: Governor Dayton has appointed eight more members to the Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection, the group which reviews candidates for judicial vacancies and sends recommendations to the governor for appointment. The 49-member commission is made up of 27 gubernatorial appointments and 22 Supreme Court appointments. There are four members from each of the state's ten judicial districts and nine at-large members. The new appointees are:
- Margaret K. Erickson, 5th District - attorney for Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services
- Richard W. Davenport, 5th District - president of Minnesota State University
- 'Sharon N. Chadwick, 6th District - senior assistant St. Louis county attorney
- Nevada R. Littlewolf, 6th District - The White House Project's Rural Leadership Field Organizer and member of the Virginia City Council
- Larke L. Huntley, 9th District - private practice lawyer in Grand Rapids
- Shawn M. Mason, 9th District - mayor of International Falls and educational support specialist
- Robert M.A. Johnson, 10th District - retired Anoka County attorney and former Anoka County Bar Association president
- Judy C. Duffy, 10th District - director of advocacy and first vice president of the League of Women Voters of the U.S. Board[1]
