Eileen Higgins
Eileen Higgins is the Mayor of Miami in Florida. She assumed office on December 18, 2025. Her current term ends in 2029.
Higgins ran for election for Mayor of Miami in Florida. She won in the general runoff election on December 9, 2025.
Mayoral elections in Miami are nonpartisan. Media outlets have reported that Higgins is a Democrat.[1][2]
Biography
Higgins earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1987 and a master's in business administration from Cornell University in 1989. Her career experience includes working as an engineer and as a foreign service officer for the Department of State.[3] Higgins has been affiliated with the following organizations:

- League of Women Voters of Miami-Dade County
