Patterson graduated from the University of Maryland University College in 2014 with a B.S. in marketing. She served in the U.S. Army from 2003 to 2011. Her professional experience includes working as a marketing director for Algone and serving as a board director of Valley Charities Inc. She has served on the Mat-Su Borough Planning Commission and as a member of the Mat-Su Opioid Task Force.[1]
