An El Monte City School District Bond Issue, Measure M ballot question was on the November 4, 2014 election ballot for voters in the El Monte City School District in Los Angeles County, California. It was approved.

Measure M authorized the district to issue $78 million in bonds to benefit the El Monte City School District. The funds were earmarked to upgrade classroom technology; complete energy-efficient upgrades; replace aging roofs, heating, electrical and cooling systems and repair, acquire, construct and equip classrooms and facilities.[1]

A 55 percent supermajority vote was required for the approval of Measure M.

The question on the ballot:[1]

To upgrade schools and improve the quality of education and ensure safe school campuses, upgrade classroom technology to meet current teaching standards, shall El Monte City School District repair, acquire, construct, equip classrooms, sites and facilities, complete safety and energy-efficiency upgrades, replace aging roofs, heating, electrical, cooling systems, upgrade technology/add new computer labs, by issuing $78,000,000 in bonds at legal rates, with independent oversight, no money for administrators’ salaries, and all funds benefiting local elementary schools? [2]
