I look forward to bringing a partnership between the Dallas County Tax Office and the Community that has never existed.

I am a forward-thinking financial operations professional and Community Organizer who will utilize my unique set of skills and expertise to streamline the work of the Dallas County Tax Assessor/Collector’s office in a manner that benefits working families, seniors and ALL in the community.

I am a native Texan and proud graduate of J. J. Pearce High School and UT-Dallas in Richardson, TX with over 20 years of Executive Leadership experience.

I am a leader who is focused on solutions that center the people closest to the problem, speaking out for ALL and being comfortable with uncomfortable conversations assuring needed issues are discussed and solutions are found with compassion, listening and a solution oriented mindset.

I am the Joint Appointed Vice Chair of the Dallas Citizens Election Advisory Committee (CEAC), responsible for making recommendations related to Dallas Elections to the Dallas County Commissioner’s Court.

In recent years, I worked with Commissioners Court and the Dallas County Elections Office to bring the first voting center to Deep Ellum and am part of the coalition led by MoveTexas.org to ensure that there is a voting center in Lew Sterrett Jail.

I am currently a National Organizing Manager with Scale for Change, have a B.A. in Sociology and a Post Graduate Paralegal degree from SMU.
  • I will bring collaborative leadership to the Tax Office working with current leaders and develop the strategy for proactive engagement with ALL communities while continuing the efficient management of the Dallas County Tax office
  • I will create Community Tax Advisory Committees to assure we have regular, proactive community Listening and Education Sessions
  • I will provide transparency that has never existed using social media and community input to execute a plan so there is understanding of the existing needs and challenges within ALL communies.
The office of Tax Assessor/Collector is not a legislative position however the Tax Assessor/Collector needs to understand the laws related to the Tax Office operations and assure the operations are efficient which is what I will do. Improving the external efficiencies which include making sure that paying property taxes, renewing vehicle registration and all operations that are performed in the Dallas County tax office are seamless, easy and as time efficient as possible for the public will be my focus.

My main focus will be providing the most efficient Tax Office while bridging the gap between the "county tax machine" and the community.
To be engaged and accountable to our constituents and meet the needs of the community.
Innovative and open to change

A Listener as a leader and to ALL in every community
Believe in Collaborative Leadership in order to provide solutions

Care for the Community
