Elaine Lauterborn (Democratic Party) ran for election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Strafford 9. She lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.

Lauterborn is a former Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. She represented the Strafford 1 District and Ward 2 (Council Member) from 2008 to 2010. Lauterborn's other political experiences presently include being deputy mayor and city council for the City of Rochester; as well as candidate for Strafford 1 in 2004 and Strafford 67 in 2002.
