Eleanor Smith was the probate judge for the City of Middlebury in Addison County, Vermont.[1] She was first elected to the court in 2006, and re-elected in 2010.[2][3][4] She was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expired on January 31, 2019.[5]

Smith was re-elected to the probate division without opposition in the general election on November 2, 2010.[6][7]

Education

Smith received both her undergraduate and J.D. degrees from the University of Arizona in 1973 and 1977, respectively.[3][8]

Career

Before she became a judge, Smith practiced law for thirty years. She spent twenty-three of those years in Addison County.[3]
