Two Elgin & Marion School District Levy Renewal measures were on theNovember 8, 2011 ballot in the Elgin and Marion school district areas which are in Marion County. The Elgin school district is also in Delaware County.
Both measures were approved
The Elgin measures sought to renew the current levy which is set at a rate of 5.26 mills for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the school district.

The Marion measures sought to renew the current levy which is set at a rate of 5.47 mills for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the school district.[2]
