Eli Bohnert is a proud Westsider running to represent District 6 in the Ohio State House. Eli is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he received his Master's degree in Public Health. The issues that far too many in our community face are personal to him. After the pandemic, he lost his job and health insurance and found himself needing to choose between paying high $500 monthly premiums or affording his daily prescriptions. Eli currently serves on the West Scioto Area Commission where he advocates every day for more attainable housing in the Columbus area and improving our transit and cycling network. Growing up in the Midwest, Eli understands the importance of hard work and will fight for all Ohioans to have a fair shot at living their American Dream. He believes that all Ohioans, no matter their zip code, deserve the ability to live in a home they can afford, send their kids to high-quality schools, and feel safe in their community.
As a proud Westsider, I've witnessed firsthand the resilience and dedication of Ohioans in our community. Growing up in a family where hard work was not just a principle but a way of life, I understand the importance of honoring every job and advocating for fair working conditions. This upbringing shaped my commitment to these three core values: Opportunity, Freedom, and Security. My fight for Ohioans isn't just a political promise; it's a personal mission. I am ready to champion policies that ensure every Westsider has a fair shot at living their American Dream.
