I am a Native Floridian who has been a resident and property owner in the District since my graduation from Martin County High School. I have been married for 32 years to Derek, a Palm Beach County Firefighter, and we have two grown sons. I resided in the Bahamas as a child, in addition to living in rural Indiantown. I enjoy spending my time horseback riding and walking on the beach. I have been actively involved in civic and political issues. I have experience with the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and have challenged the land development regulations in the Martin County Comprehensive Plan. Volunteered as a member on the Martin County Board of Zoning Adjustments, Martin County Soil and Water Conservation District Board, Budget Committee for Martin County School District, School Advisory Committee, Parent Teachers Association (PTA), and held leadership roles in local equestrian clubs. Volunteering on the numerous boards and committees has taught me effectively to communicate and allowing me to understand the complexities of representing Martin and Palm Beach County Upon graduation I decided to build my first home to follow my dreams of owning horses and ranch. I then became a licensed Esthetician. Then I obtained my license to be a subcontractor. Adding a small construction business;. I am a lifelong planner and problem solver. • I am very concerned about protecting the environment-at national, state and local levels. This is especially important in regard to the Lake Okeechobee issues regarding the toxic Blue Green Algae/Microcystin that have plagued Martin County. Florida has several water issues. We need stronger legislation.
  • My hope is to make education a larger issue. There are steps that can be taken to enhance our children's education and teach real world applications of learned material. I would like to see our schools return to maximizing the academic of students rather than cutting corners and promoting political agendas.
