Martinez ran for election to the U.S. Senate to represent New Mexico. She lost in the Republican primary on June 2, 2020.

Biography
Martinez grew up in Gallup, New Mexico. She earned a degree in economics from the University of New Mexico. Her professional experience includes working for her dad's small business and as a field representative for the Libre Initiative. In 2015, Martinez founded the New Mexico Alliance for Life and has worked with the Congressional Select Panel on Infant Lives.[1]
