Elisabeth French is a judge of the Alabama 10th Judicial Circuit Place 17. Her current term ends on January 15, 2029.

French (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for judge of the Alabama 10th Judicial Circuit Place 17. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

On March 1, 2020, French became the presiding judge for Alabama’s 10th judicial circuit.[1]

Biography

French earned her B.A. in political science and Spanish from the University of Montevallo and her J.D. from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law in 1997. From 1998 to 2010, French had her own private legal practice, The French Firm.[2]

2010

French was nominated by the Alabama Democratic Executive Committee to be the party's candidate for the Circuit 10 Place 17 race after the candidate that won the primary, Kenya Lavender Marshall, dropped out of the race.[5]

No Republican ran for the seat in the primary, leaving French to win the election unopposed.
