Hi, I'm an IT professional, a parent, I have a masters in space technology & I was raised in Council Bluffs.

My 3 goals for campaigning are: 1. Iowa Transparency, or Truth-in-Taxation for Property Taxes 2. Ranked Choice Voting 3. Encourage others to run

Adding a Truth-in-Taxation process to Iowa’s taxation law will ensure Iowan’s receive taxation relief. John Hendrickson- a policy director of Tax Education Foundation of Iowa, a public policy think tank- writes, local governments must justify why they want to increase taxes for additional spending, forcing them to be more transparent. (Hendrickson, 2021)

And of course, the importance of a ranked choice vote is not lost on many of us now, since we overwhelmingly feel the faults of a 2-party system. Introducing a ranked choice vote will help eliminate the spoiler effect and give voters an opportunity to become engaged with their civic duty again. To that end, my final goal for encouraging others to run contributes to the overall changes we intrinsically know our government needs. A larger number of choices to better represent the varied members of our communities, and a better mechanism to getting them into office.
  • Transparency in Property taxes to lower them
  • Ranked choice voting for Iowans
  • Fortifying community relationships again
Responsibility to those their representing and responsibility to the constitution.
