Kolb ran for election to the Guadalupe County Court at Law.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 26.6 percent of the vote. She competed against Robin V. Dwyer, David Eveld and Melroy Koehler.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, Kolb faced Dwyer in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. She was defeated, earning 47.6 percent of the votes cast.
