|I believe a good education and better schools are the foundation of building healthy communities with less crime, more quality jobs, and a better way of life for all of us. Since I've retired as a schoolteacher, I am ready to advocate for students, give parents back their rights, and give teachers the support they deserve.
I have the credentials and the experience to represent the people of District 53. I’ve earned my Master's Degree in Education. I’ve gained experience working with people of all backgrounds while traveling the world as an Air Force wife for 22 years. My time in the school system and my years of community service have prepared me to listen and to give the people of Southern New Mexico a voice in Santa Fe.
Southwest New Mexico families have been overlooked and ignored by Santa Fe politicians. We need a leader who will fiercely represent us and speak up for our values.- Protecting Parents’ Rights: In an attempt to push their radical agenda, Santa Fe politicians are pushing parents out of their children’s education and health decisions, resulting in life-changing and life-endangering procedures. Family is the cornerstone of New Mexican values. I believe parents know how to raise and educate their children better than the government can, and I will put the power back into the hands of parents.
- Keeping Us Safe: Crime is increasing throughout New Mexico and our southern region is no exception. Our officers in New Mexico need support, funding, and training to do their job and keep crime out of our communities, and I won’t abandon them like Santa Fe politicians have. I will fully support our law enforcement officers and ensure that they have the necessary resources to do their jobs – safely and effectively to keep our community safe.
- Educating Children Well: Santa Fe politicians are making it harder for students to succeed. Education is not one-size-fits all, and I will fight to keep parents involved and give every student the opportunity to learn in the wat that best fits them.
