Elk Grove Utility Users Tax, Measure J (November 2010)
An Elk Grove Utility Users Tax, Measure J ballot proposition was on the November 2, 2010 ballot for voters in Elk Grove in Sacramento County. It was approved.
Measure J extends the types of utilities to which the city's existing utility tax applies, while reducing the overall utility tax rate from 2.5% to 2.25%. Although the tax rate is reduced with Measure J, the city's overall revenues will increase as a result of its passage because of the additional utilities to which the utility tax now applies.
