The Elk Mound Area School District Referendum was a school bond measure on the April 7 ballot in the Elk Mound Area School District which is in Dunn County. The referendum was brought to the ballot by the school board, and it sought to issue debt in the amount of $9,325,000. The funds will be used for upgrades to district buildings.
Status
Passed, with 648 "yes" votes and 413 "no" votes.[1]
Tax impact
If passed by the voters, the tax impact of this referendum would be approximately $24 a year for a $100,000 piece of property.[2]
Wording of referendum
Be it resolved by the School Board of the Elk Mound School District, Chippewa, Dunn and Eau Claire Counties, Wisconsin, that there shall be issued, pursuant to Chapter 67, Wisconsin Statutes, General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $9,325,000 for the purpose of paying the cost of improvements to school district buildings and grounds including additions, remodeling, infrastructure upgrades and equipment acquisition[1]
