I am a lifelong CT resident. My parents are deceased. I'm very close with my sister and cousins.

I love sports, especially golf, pickleball, hiking, and kayaking at Jackson Cove. I value opportunities to travel, enjoy music, the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

As a former educator, as an election administrator, and as a volunteer in support of numerous local organizations and charitable causes, I do more than talk about supporting our communities, I roll up my sleeves and get it done!

I will make government work for you by supporting first responders, teachers, and public works employees. I will use my voice in Hartford to ensure they have the state support they need to keep our small towns safe and thriving.

As Albert Schweitzer said, "Example is not the main thing in influencing others. It's the only thing." As your representative I would lead by example, working in a bipartisan way on behalf of everyone in the 131st District and that is why I was endorsed by both the Democratic Party and the Independent Party. People from all sides must work together to produce true change.

I am prepared for this position and would be honored to be elected. My experience with my innate enthusiasm, friendly disposition, solid moral compass, intellect and eagerness to accept responsibility make me ready to take on this role. My goal is to be an excellent leader - one of integrity who people can be proud of.
  • I will address cost of living challenges by introducing smart legislation supporting fiscal responsibility. A balanced budget prevents overspending while enabling our economy to grow and remain stable. I am ready to prioritize fiscal issues that are unique to small towns through targeted advocacy in Hartford.

I will push utility companies to revisit their pricing structures, seeking lower rates and keeping more money in your pockets.

Small businesses should be provided with incentives so they can operate successfully and remain in CT. Additional tax incentives would attract businesses from other states bolstering our tax base.
  • I will push back against unfunded mandates. When municipalities don't receive adequate state aid, they must raise property taxes, cut vital services or both. I will advocate that Oxford, Naugatuck, and Southbury receive their fair share from the Education Cost Sharing Grant - CT's most important "education equalizing" program. I will fight for quality public education so that students can develop their potential, build skills, and character. Another unfunded mandate is early voting. As registrar of voters, I have been overseeing early voting since it became law. It was enacted without sufficient funding to municipalities. I will seek to review the number of days needed and demand adequate funding.
  • I will work to keep health insurance and property taxes fair. I will fight every day to help working class citizens and seniors on a fixed budget who are struggling to pay for housing and food and to make our communities safe and comfortable places to call home. Our first responders deserve support. Police departments, firefighters, and EMTs need funding for up-to-date equipment and training. I intend to advocate for meaningful tax credits for those who volunteer to keep us safe. I will champion environmental causes, preserve parks and recreation sites. I will work to establish safety standards that will protect the health of citizens from environmental pollutants while ensuring a supportive environment for future economic development.
As a registrar of voters, I have an interest in government administration and elections. Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy.

Having advanced degrees in education, I obviously have a particular interest in education policy and have much to contribute in the areas of Best Practices, ESSA, 21st Century Schools. As an AP Government and Politics teacher I am well qualified to speak to the current conversations around the need for expanded civics education.

As a consumer and local advocate for the needs of struggling families and seniors, I have an interest in energy and technology. Due to the complexity of the regulatory landscape, for-profit utilities are spiking energy rates. I will speak out and hold them accountable.
Throughout my career, I've dedicated myself to serving the public, whether as a teacher, a registrar of voters, or a community advocate. My work has always been focused on making life better for others, and I believe this deep commitment to service is exactly what our community needs in Hartford.

As a former teacher, I understand the complexities of our education system and the importance of investing in the next generation. My hands-on experience in the classroom taught me the value of hard work, patience, and the need for diverse and tailored solutions. I’ve worked directly with parents, students, and school administrators to improve outcomes.

My belief in ethical leadership earned me the trust of parents, students, colleagues, and administrators in my capacity as a Ridgefield High School teacher and as a registrar of voters in Oxford. I will continue to uphold these values if elected to the State House. In my role as a teacher and as a registrar of voters, I’ve successfully led initiatives that brought tangible results. These efforts directly, positively impacted people’s lives, and the outcomes made each community, respectively, more connected.

I have shown up for people and advocated for them at town hall meetings. My ability to communicate clearly and persuasively has been crucial in driving meaningful action. I believe in building coalitions that result in real, lasting improvements. As a community organizer, I’ve brought people together and successfully coordinated efforts which have shown me the power of grassroots and how we can create real change when we engage with each other in decision-making.

In every role I’ve held, I’ve conducted myself with integrity and transparency and I will continue to uphold these values if elected to office.
I got my first job at the age of 15 years old at Moishe's Deli in Fairfield, CT. I worked at the bakery counter 20 hours a week for a year and a half. Working for Moishe and his wife, Sylvia, taught me invaluable lessons that shaped my personal and professional growth. I learned to be responsible, accountable, and patient. It taught me the value of teamwork and allowed me to hone my communication skills, and put me on a path of self discovery. This job served as a foundation for building soft skills and life lessons that carried me through to future professional opportunities.
The Independent Party of CT, Mom's Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate, US Representative Jim Himes, Jim Goggin, Naugatuck Tax Collector, Former Oxford First Selectwoman Maryann Drayton Rogers, Former Oxford First Selectwoman Kathy Johnson, Oxford Selectman David McKane.
I would like to serve on the Government Administration and Elections Committee. I have firsthand experience dealing with early voting, an unfunded mandate passed down by the state impacting municipalities and their budgets. As an election official, I know that a one-size-fits-all early voting model does not fit every town in CT and I would advocate for amending the legislation to set parameters based on the size of the municipality to reduce the number of days thus saving taxpayers money.

Having advanced degrees in education, I would ask to be on the Education Committee where my knowledge and experience would be invaluable. I have much to contribute in the areas of Best Practices, ESSA, 21st Century Schools and as a high school AP Government teacher I am well qualified to speak to the current conversations around the need for expanded civics education.

As a consumer myself and a passionate volunteer and local advocate for the needs of struggling families and seniors, another choice would quite naturally be on the Energy and Technology Committee. Due to the complexity of the regulatory landscape, for-profit utilities and monopolies are spiking energy rates. My sharp intellect and keen ability to communicate would enable me to be a bipartisan consumer champion who could make a true difference.
