Ellen Harrison was a 2014 candidate for the Orphans Court of Howard County in Howard County, Maryland.[1]

Harrison ran for election to the Orphans Court of Howard County.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 51.6 percent of the vote. She competed against Emma Travis-Howard. Both candidates ran unopposed in the primary.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 18.7 percent of the vote. She competed against Nicole Bormel Miller, Emma Travis-Howard, and incumbent judges Anne Dodd and Leslie Smith Turner for three open seats.

Education
Harrison received her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. She earned a master's degree from Loyola College.[3]
Career
Harrison has worked as a reading specialist, administrator of state functional tests, an adjunct professor at Loyola College, and an online instructor at Johns Hopkins University.[3]
