Ellen McElyea
Martha Ellen McElyea was a judge of the Blue Ridge Circuit of Georgia. She was first appointed in 2006 by Governor Sonny Perdue, and first took the bench in 2007.[1] She won re-election in 2012 for a term that expired in 2016.[2]
Education
McElyea received her B.A. from Furman University in Greenville, S.C., and graduated from the University of Georgia Law School for her J.D.[3]

- 2000-2007: Presiding judge, Cherokee Juvenile Court
- 1985-2000: Attorney in private practice[4]
2012 election
McElyea ran unopposed for re-election to the Blue Ridge Superior Court.[5] She was re-elected after receiving 99.5 percent of the vote in the July 31 election.[6]
