Ellen Nowak
Ellen Nowak was a member of the Wisconsin Public Service Commission.[1]
She was first appointed in July 2011 by Governor Scott Walker (R) and left office in March 2018. She was reappointed to the commission effective December 2018.[2][3] She resigned after her term ended on February 20, 2023.[4]
Biography
An attorney by trade, Nowak practiced business litigation at Mallery & Zimmerman, SC from 1998 to 2002. She was the legal counsel and then chief of staff to the Speaker of the Wisconsin Assembly from 2002 to 2006, and has worked as the deputy director of School Choice Wisconsin.
Nowak was serving as chief of staff to Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas when she was appointed to the WPSC in 2011.[2]
In the spring of 2016, Nowak was one of 11 candidates named as possible replacements for retiring Justice David Prosser, but she was not selected as a finalist by Governor Scott Walker's advisory committee.[5]

Nowak served as a member of the Wisconsin Public Service Commission from July 2011 to March 2018 and again from December 2018 until February 20, 2023.[6] She was reappointed to the commission in December 2018 by Governor Scott Walker.[1][7]
