Ellen Sue Venzer is a judge of the Florida 11th Circuit Court. Her current term ends on January 7, 2031.

Venzer won re-election for judge of the Florida 11th Circuit Court outright in the general election on November 5, 2024, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Venzer was appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush in 2004.[1][2][3][4]

Biography

Education

Venzer was born in Hollywood, FL. She received her B.B.A. degree from the University of Miami in 1984 and her J.D. degree from the University of Miami in 1987.[1]

Career

Venzer began her career in 1987 as a litigation associate for the firm of Cohen & Silver, P.A. The following year, she joined Bailey & Hunt, P.A. She then practiced with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan from 1991 to 1992 and with Profilet & Venzer, P.A. for part of 1993. She then worked as a shareholder of Venzer, P.A. though 1994. In 1995, she became a judge of the Miami-Dade County Court. She was then appointed to the circuit court in 2004.[3]
