I am an educator, a mother and wife of a small business owner. I have a B.S. degree in Psychology, as well as two Masters degrees; one in Teaching and the other in Educational Technology. I am passionate about making sure all children have access to the tools and resources they need to be successful. I have always had a student-first approach to education so I will have a citizen's-first approach to legislation and issues that concern our community. Top on my agenda for state legislation is to promote local control of our communities and schools.
  • Ellie is committed to maintaining local control of our schools. As a professional educator, Ellie knows that the last thing schools need is more top-down bureaucracy. Teachers, parents and local school leaders are in the best position to help students thrive.
  • Keeping our families safe is one of Ellie's top priorities. She will work hard to ensure our police departments and first responders have the right tools to keep our communities safe, especially as we navigate such challenging times. She is endorsed by both the Norwalk Police Union and Connecticut Fraternal Order of Police Union.
  • Ellie has lived in Norwalk for over 20 years. She is a mother of two, small business owner, and award-winning educator. She knows the impact decisions in Hartford have on families in our community. We can't afford to stay on our current trajectory of endless tax hikes and out of control spending.
(1) Making CT Affordable. Increasing taxes makes our area less affordable and places an undue burden on small businesses. Ellie will focus on creating an environment where families and businesses can thrive. (2) Supporting Our Community Police. Ellie is endorsed by the Norwalk Police and the Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police. She supports the people who risk their lives to keep us safe. A vote for Ellie is a vote for safe communities. (3) Local Control of Education. As a professional educator Ellie knows that the last thing schools need is more top-down bureaucracy. Teachers, parents, and local school leaders are in the best position to help students thrive.
