Elmer Davies
Elmer David Davies (1899-1957) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
He was nominated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on June 19, 1939 to replace John Gore. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 12th, and received commission that same day. From 1954 to 1957, he was the chief judge. He served on this court until his death on January 7, 1957.[1]
