An Elmhurst City Electrical Aggregation Question was on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the city of Elmhurst which is in both Cook and DuPage Counties.

This measure was approved

  • YES 5,300 (65.7%)Approveda
  • NO 2,767 (34.3%)[1]

This measure sought to allow the city to aggregate electricity buying, allowing to buy it in bulk in order to obtain lower rates for residents and businesses who want to participate in the program. The city will have the power to solicit bid from companies in order to get the best rates.[2]
