Elroy G. Boyer, Jr. is the chief judge for the Orphans Court of Kent County in Kent County, Maryland.[1] He has served as a judge for the court since 1990 and as chief judge since December 1994.[2] Boyer ran for re-election to the Orphans Court of Kent County in 2014, winning a term that expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

General: He faced Rosalie Brady Kuechler, Amy L. Nickerson, Elizabeth Carroll, and Paul M. Showalter in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 22.0 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats.

Boyer was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Kent County (along with William I. Blake and Harry T. Williams) in the general election on November 2, 2010, after receiving 31.56 percent of the vote.[6]
