Emile Henry Lacombe (1846-1924) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the United States Circuit Courts for the Second Circuit. He joined the United States Circuit Courts for the Second Circuit after a recess appointment from Grover Cleveland in 1887. At the time of appointment he was a corporate counsel in New York City. On June 16, 1891, he was reassigned to the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit where he served until his retirement on February 15, 1916.[1] Lacombe died on November 28, 1924.

Judicial nominations and appointments

Second Circuit

He received a recess appointment from President Grover Cleveland on May 26, 1887 to the United States Circuit Courts for the Second Circuit, and was nominated on February 27th. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 28, 1888, and received commission that same day. On June 16, 1891, he was reassigned to the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit where he served until his retirement on February 15, 1916.[1] He was succeeded to the post by Charles Merrill Hough.
