I am running for Mayor of Stockton to bring change and empower our city to its full potential. I would love to earn your support through establishing trust, by reforming city hall, introducing new polices that will enrich our community and empower you to take control of the direction of our great city. As you may know this election is going to be uphill battle. We will be battling the politically connected that has an abundance of resources. The platform that I intend to run on is holding city hall accountable for the mismanaging of our city that lead to a near financial collapse, the implementing of chloramines into our water that puts our health at risk to save money. I believe we need to find new ways to reform the police department first by ensuring that we hold the department accountable for hiring and filling the numerous empty positions with talent from within our community. We need to put the community back into community policing so that we can develop better relationships and make our streets safer for our kids. Most importantly we will focus on investing in the talent we have right here in Stockton. There is a lot of economic change coming to Stockton, with the development of 15 acres in the downtown area, we must make sure that these new jobs, bids and projects go to the citizens of Stockton first. The only way to do this is to elect leaders that can make responsible decisions for the people of Stockton. Together we can make sure that our elected officials are held accountable and puts Stockton first. I would like to be your leader that goes to bat for you and I will need your support to do this. With the new economic changes being made it is only natural that the pay rate and and employment practices change with it. A city hall with my leadership will ensure that a fair wage is given to the people of Stockton and we can do this together. We as a community have to come to together collectively and find a way to end homelessness. We can start by building a state of the art shelter, that is technology driven, clean, drug free, safe, and has employment resources, and a staff that is qualified and compassionate to assist people in need. I have many more solutions to restoring and empowering we the people of Stockton that I will be sharing over the next few months. Until then please share with me your visions and let's collaborate to build a better, brighter future that empowers the people of our great city. [2] |
