Emily A. Peacock is a judge of the Florida 13th Circuit Court. Her current term ends on January 7, 2031.

Peacock won re-election for judge of the Florida 13th Circuit Court outright in the general election on November 5, 2024, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Biography

Education

Peacock received her B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University in 1978 and her J.D. degree from the Stetson University College of Law in 1980.[1]

Career

Peacock began her career as an assistant state attorney for the 18th Judicial Circuit. She later moved to the 13th Judicial Circuit. She spent a total of over 12 years as an assistant state attorney. She then became a Senior Attorney for the Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services. After that, she spent a short time as an Assistant Public Defender. In 1997, she became a private practice lawyer. She was a partner of James, Hoyer, et al and then the Peacock Law Firm, P.A. She was elected to the circuit court in 2006.[2][3]
