Bonilla won re-election to the Orange County Board of County Commissioners to represent District 5 in Florida outright in the primary on August 18, 2020, after the general election was canceled.

Decision to self-quarantine for coronavirus on March 14, 2020

On March 14, 2020, Bonilla announced that her office would self-quarantine through March 19 after she came down with cold-like symptoms. Commissioner Bonilla said that she had traveled recently.[1]
