I grew up in Rutland. My family are fifth generation Vermonters. They have always been involved in the community. My father is a business person and former Vermont State Senator. My mother is an artist, community arts organizer. They taught me a deep commitment to community, the importance of hard work, and education.

After high school I studied education at The New School in NY and went on to get my masters degree in Photography from University College of Art in England.

I have worked as a substitute teacher in the Rutland public school system where I experienced the challenges our educators and students face in a rapidly changing world.

I am an award winning textile artist and small business owner. Over the past ten years I have worked as a gallery owner and arts educator in Philadelphia. I have taught in schools and worked with community-based arts organizations and larger institutions like the University of Pennsylvania, the Clark Institute, and the International Center for Photography in New York. I was an active member in Philadelphia, sitting on boards of local non-profit arts organizations, advising and mentoring young artists and emerging business owners.

Through my work as a community arts leader, small business owner and educator I have had the pleasure of creating inclusive community spaces and teaching thousands of people creative practices that enhance their lives and bring people together while contributing to community development.
  • Education As a trained educator and very proud aunt, I believe that having strong education is vital for youth development and overall community well being. I will work for sustainable education solutions that work for students, teachers, and families.
  • Tax Control As Vermonters we are in the top ten of highest taxes in the country. Additionally our region has some of the highest taxes in the state. I will work to ensure that our taxes stay under control for our community. And will work to ensure we get the resources we need.
  • Business + Farm Support Our small businesses and farms are a vital part of our community economy. With continued rising costs and limited time, operating a thriving business has many challenges. I will support initiatives and programs that help our local farms and businesses thrive.
Education, Tax Reform, Affordable Housing, Building Climate Resilience.
Balancing our housing, workforce, healthcare needs, and tax structures as our population ages and wealth inequality expands.
I'm very interested in the education committee because I as a trained educator I believe that education is key to our local and state economy. It is also core to our local community.

The housing committee also interests me. I'm very interested in finding sustainable, community driven solutions to ensure Vermont's continued economic development.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Vermont

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
