Emily Jane Goodman
Emily Jane Goodman was a justice for the New York County Supreme Court, Civil Term in the 1st Judicial District of New York. She joined the court in 1991 and retired in March 2012.[1][2]
Education
Goodman received an M.S. from Columbia University in 1980 and her J.D. degree from the Brooklyn School of Law in 1968.[1]
Career
Goodman became a judge in 1987, for the New York City Civil Court. She held this position until 1993 while serving as an acting justice of the supreme court from 1989 to 1990. She became a supreme court justice in 1991 and was re-elected to this position in 2005 and 2011.[1]
