I am Emin Eddie Egriu. I am a businessman here in Buffalo, New York, that has always been involved with the community. I've been a crucial factor in the start of PUSH Buffalo which is a great organization filled with people fighting for sustainable and affordable housing. I’m a longtime advocate for increased minimum wages and have recently shifted my focus to now ensuring workers receive a living wage. I’m also a staunch advocate for health care for all, with a unique perspective, as I have had my own personal experiences being unable to access quality, affordable health care. I also believe strongly that our treatment of immigrants needs to improve, providing humane treatment and access to public resources. I am a man of my community and constantly strive to make it better.
  • HEALTHCARE FOR ALL- Lifesaving drugs such as insulin should never be hidden behind a paywall. If you need it to live a healthy life, it shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. It’s simple to me.
  • CLEAN WATER- Let’s build a WNY that pours money not only into its Water Front but also its water pipes. There are 100 miles of lead pipes that provide water to Buffalo & hundreds of other communities. Water lines made with toxic metals.
  • FREE COLLEGE- Inner city education must change. Our responsibility is not merely to provide access to knowledge; we must produce educated people.
I am running so this community can finally breathe. So they have better healthcare and quality of life. No one should decide to not go to the Emergency Room in a time of need because of how much it will potentially cost them. I run so they can get paid a just amount for their work, and have a roof over their head that doesn't cost them their dinner, clothes, or other essentials. I am running also to reform the immigration system the United States has. I, myself, am an immigrant and I'm very passionate about this topic.
"They Don't Care About US"- Michael Jackson
