The Enhanced Nursing Licensure Compact (eNLC) is an interstate compact among 34 states.[1] The compact "allows for registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical/vocational nurses (LPN/VNs) to have one multistate license, with the ability to practice in both their home state and other eNLC states."[2]
In 2018, the Enhanced Nursing Licensure Compact replaced the original Nurse Licensure Compact.[3]
Text of the compact
The legislature of each member state passes the laws with certain modifications, but the core of the legislation remains the same. The text below is from the compact passed by New Mexico.[4]
