Campaign themes
2014
Costantini's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]
- Bring common sense back to Hartford and push for a smaller, smarter, and more fiscally responsible government that works for its citizens, not the other way around.
- Reduce frivolous government spending and focus on the needs of the state and not the wants of political insiders.
- Stand up against the status quo which seeks to continually borrow and increase our state’s already bloated state debt.
- Support and fight for local control over local issues, specifically:
- Support legislation that ensures that conflicts of interest on municipal legislative bodies are no longer permitted.
- Fight legislation that seeks to take control of local school boards away from the local residents who send their children to those very schools.
- Promote and fight for economic and tax policies that drive businesses and jobs back to our communities instead of out of Connecticut.
