The South Carolina Democratic Party reopened candidate filings for South Carolina House of Representatives District 6 after Eric Childs passed away. The new filing deadline was June 25, 2024. Tony Wagoner was the only candidate to file. Wagoner appeared on the ballot on November 5, 2024.[2]
