General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 48.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Kimberly L. Booher.

Education
Williams received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University and his J.D. degree from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1981.[2]
Career
Williams has worked as an attorney in private practice since 1982. He has also served for 4 years as an assistant prosecutor and for 28 years as the city attorney in Big Rapids, Michigan.[2]
