General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 48.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Kimberly L. Booher. [1] 

Education

Williams received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University and his J.D. degree from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1981.[2]

Career

Williams has worked as an attorney in private practice since 1982. He has also served for 4 years as an assistant prosecutor and for 28 years as the city attorney in Big Rapids, Michigan.[2]
