Eric L. Dahlin is a judge for Position 24 of the Oregon 4th Judicial District Circuit Court. Dahlin assumed office in 2016. Dahlin's current term ends on January 1, 2029.
Dahlin won re-election for the Position 24 judge of the Oregon 4th Judicial District Circuit Court outright in the primary on May 17, 2022, after the general election was canceled.
Gov. Kate Brown (D) appointed Dahlin to the bench in August 2016.[1]
Education
Dahlin obtained a B.A. in economics from Grinnell College in 1989. He received a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he was Order of the Coif.[1]
Career
Dahlin was a law clerk to the Hon. Procter Hug of the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. He worked in private practice for 19 years at the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine in Portland, Oregon. He was also a pro tem judge and arbitrator for the Multnomah County Circuit Court from 2007 to 2016.[1]
