Eric Davis (North Carolina)
Eric Davis was a member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board. He was first elected to the chamber in 2009 and served as the board's chair from 2009-2011. He won re-election to the District 5 seat in a general election on November 5, 2013. He retired in 2017.
Biography
Davis holds a bachelor of science degree with honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. Davis was a professional engineer in North Carolina. He was previously a combat engineer officer and an Airborne Ranger in the U.S. Army. Davis has served as chair of the City of Charlotte Privatization/ Competition Advisory Committee and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Bond Oversight Committee. In addition, he has served on numerous boards such as the US Green Building Advisory Council Charlotte Chapter and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Superintendent's Standards Review Committee. Davis is a Charlotte native who attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools schools. He is married to wife, Adrienne, and has two daughters.[1]
