What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

To put THIER opinions aside when constituents are addressing their issues. To be the VOICE of their district and take direction from their constituents not special interest groups.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I've studied Psychology, Behavior modification,Licensed Chemical Dependency Counseling, Music and Architecture. I was certified in 2010 through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a CPT I took a wide array of courses so I could better understand society at large and how different our individual thought processes are. From 2011- current I've served as Volunteer, Secretary and now Deputy Director of DFW Nomrl a non-profit organization so I know about being fiscally responsible and staying within a budget As a person born with Cerebral Palsy I know what it's like to have society not necessarily think of what you may need to have an equal quality of life. I strive to empower those with disabilities to take action in local, state and federal government to protect their rights and freedoms.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Transperancy Consult constituents on legislation Making myself available to constituents To be accepting of all the different Races, Creeds, Genders and Orientations of those in my District

Age 16 Image Vending at Six Flags Over Texas Promoted to management in 3 months Ran Employee Canteen 1 yr Worked at several other locations for the business increasing sales and reducing waste and loss prevention Held for 5 years

What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Keeping a productive quality of life with Cerebral Palsy

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?

I believe its important for every citizen to educate themselves about how their government works. Any person that meets the requirements for an office should have the right to help change their government for the better

What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and the state legislature?

If a representative is the voice of its constituents the Governor should be the echo of all the constituents in the state. The Governor should make himself available to hear legislators with constituents about issues

Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.

Absolutely, legislators not finding common ground is a main reason I've had two government shutdowns in my lifetime
