Biography
Eric Gjerde was born in Spicer, Minnesota.[1] Gjerde earned a B.A. in sociology and religion from Augustana College in 2001, an M.A. in secondary education from the University of Iowa in 2004, an M.A. in educational administration from the University of Iowa in 2008, and a doctorate in educational leadership and administration from Northern Iowa University in 2016. His career experience includes working as a public school special education teacher with the Cedar Rapids Community School District, a teacher with Clear Creek Amana CSD, and an EMT with LeRoy Area Ambulance. Gjerde has served on the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of the Quad Cities and as a special deputy with the Linn County Sheriff's Office.[1][2][3]
