Eric Hagarty was the Pennsylvania Secretary of Education. Hagarty assumed office on April 29, 2022. Hagarty left office on January 17, 2023.

Gov. Tom Wolf (D) appointed Hagarty to serve in an acting capacity on April 22, 2022, to replace Noe Ortega.[1]

Biography

Hagarty received a B.A. in political science and economics from the University of Washington – Seattle.[1]

Prior to his appointment as acting secretary, Hagarty served as Gov. Tom Wolf's deputy chief of staff. He also served as chief of staff at the Department of Community and Economic Development.[1]
