Eric Johnson (b. August 20, 1953) is a former Republican member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 1 from 1994 to 2010. He did not seek re-election in 2010. He was Senate Minority Whip from 1997 to 1998, Senate Minority Leader from 1999 to 2000 and President Pro Tempore from 2003 to 2010. He previously served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1992 to 1994.

Biography

Johnson earned his M.A. in Architecture from Tulane University in 1976. His professional experience includes working as Architect/Vice President of Hussey, Gay, Bell and Deyoung International in 1986 and Architect for North Point Real Estate.
